The Queen's Coronation πŸ‘‘

Hello everybody! ☺

Today marks the 67th anniversary of the Queen's CoronationπŸ‘‘

Elisabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, was crowned at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, 2nd June 1953. ⛪

Westminster Abbey, London
Westminster Abbey has been the setting of EVERY CORONATION since 1066, and the Queen Elisabeth was the 39th Sovereign to be crowned there.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh travelled to Westminster Abbey in the Gold State Coach.

The coach was pulled by eight grey horses, their name were: Cunningham, Tovey, Noah, Tedder, Eisenhower, Snow White, Tipperary and McCreery. 🐎 πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ.

The Queen's Coronation was the first ever to be televised, and it was watched by 27 million people in the UK alone. πŸ“Ί
For most people, it was the first time they had watched an event on tv.

During the ceremony, the Queen took the Coronation Oath. You can read HERE. 🎀
Her Majestry was then anointed, blessed and consecrated by the Archbishop.

After The Queen received the orb and sceptre, St. Edward's Crown was placed on her head.
