Elisabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, was crowned at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, 2nd June 1953. ⛪

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh travelled to Westminster Abbey in the Gold State Coach.
The coach was pulled by eight grey horses, their name were: Cunningham, Tovey, Noah, Tedder, Eisenhower, Snow White, Tipperary and McCreery. 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎.
The Queen's Coronation was the first ever to be televised, and it was watched by 27 million people in the UK alone. 📺
For most people, it was the first time they had watched an event on tv.
During the ceremony, the Queen took the Coronation Oath. You can read HERE. 🎤
Her Majestry was then anointed, blessed and consecrated by the Archbishop.
After The Queen received the orb and sceptre, St. Edward's Crown was placed on her head.
